Or maybe you have already lined up a job in India and need advice on finding an apartment or picking the right school for your children in Mumbai? We have all had some of those thoughts at some point of time in our careers, but there has never been an easy way to reach out to fellow Wharton Alums in India who can give advice on recruiting or business ideas, introduce you to head hunters or share experiences from what has worked in the past and what has not. To solve this problem, the Wharton Alumni Association of India has launched the Global Wharton India Mentoring Network.
Contact an Industry Captain
The Industry Captains have access to all the Wharton Alumni in India in their respective industries. Each Industry Captain, depending on the nature of inquiry or request, will channel the request to the appropriate alum in India. The network will not only mentor current Wharton MBA and Undergrads, but also facilitate networking opportunities and dialogue amongst alums globally and within India in various professions.
About the Global Wharton India Mentoring Network
The Global Wharton India Mentoring Network was started in 2008 with the aim of connecting Wharton Students and Alumni from all over the world to India. We have established various committees by industry (Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Investment Banking, Consulting, Entrepreneurship, Non-Profit etc.) and have handpicked Wharton Alums in India to serve as Industry Captains for each committee who will screen resumes, mentor alums and connect alumni seeking advice with the appropriate mentors / alumni / head hunters / friends in the various professions.
